FAQ
1
What is Snake Oil -LPC?
It is a hand applied, self-leveling 4n1 coating. Safe on automotive paint, trim, rims and headlights. Designed to be an affordable, consumer friendly alternative to costly paint correction and trim/headlight/rim restoration. Able to address swirls, light surface scratches and oxidation upon application.

Is Snake Oil available to ship world wide?
Yes, we are able to ship to most countries worldwide. There are a few countries that make it more difficult than others to receive a dangerous good shipment. Additionally, there are countries that will NOT allow Snake Oil to enter at all. International shipments require Air. Container shipments will not be available unless we are doing bulk orders.

What do I need to apply Snake Oil?
1. Scott's HEAVY DUTY Shop Towels. Not in the box or the traditional ones. HEAVY DUTY. Can be difficult to find at Walmart/O'Reillys/Target. I often order them online vs hunting for them. Another option is WYPALL X60s. DO NOT USE: microfiber towels or ceramic applicators. Not enough product transfer to the surface. 2. A cleaning agent such as Denatured Alcohol is my preference. Clean, not to aggressive, safe on most surfaces and a cooling agent in one. Readily available in most markets and affordable. Under $20 a gallon, $10/qt. If unavailable, Isopropyl Alcohol would be my second choice. Followed by a slow reducer or virgin wax and grease remover. 3. Good quality microfiber towels. Suggest Costco or Sams for good value options 4. Clay bar. Suggest Clay Magics Red. It is a medium grade and readily available. Will improve adhesion and produces a better finish. Worth the extra time 5. For the headlights: wetsand paper or discs and soapy water (fill a trigger sprayer with a couple drops of Dawn dish soap) 6. For the PROS: a rotary polisher, aggressive compound and a microfiber wool pad. Would be the only additional tools.

How many cars can one bottle of Snake Oil coat?
Many variables to take into consideration. Size. Condition. Expectations. Budget. Wholesale. With that in mind 1-4. For headlights, up to 24 sets. For plastic trim depending on size of vehicle 7-10.

Is Snake Oil LPC a ceramic coating?
Snake Oil is not a ceramic. In technical terms it is a urethane alkyd polymer resin. This is NOT a clear coat either. Snake Oil is different from ceramics because it has corrective properties. Removing swirls, light scratches and oxidation. None of which ceramics can do. Snake Oil sheets off water, whereas the majority of ceramics create a beading effect.
